Grant S. Johnson’s third directorial feature film, Agent Game, released in April 2022 by Lionsgate and Sony Pictures, an action spy thriller starring Dermot Mulroney, Adan Canto, Katie Cassidy, Annie Ilonzeh, Rhys Coiro, Barkhad Abdi, with Jason Isaacs, and Mel Gibson.

Grant is a Producer of Netflix’s upcoming May December, starring Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore, and to be directed by Todd Haynes.

Grant is an Executive Producer of the upcoming Summer Camp, starring Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, and Alfre Woodard.

Grant is a filmmaker from New York City. He attended Swarthmore College (‘14), where he pitched for the baseball team and majored in art history.

Grant's wrote, directed, and produced Nighthawks, which premiered during Tribeca Film Festival on May 4, 2019, and screened at the Montana International Film Festival, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, and the PUBLIC Hotel, and other theaters. Its wide domestic release was on 10/3/19 by FilmRise (The Miseducation of Cameron Post) and 3/20/2020 internationally by Taylor & Dodge (The Escort).

In November 2016, Grant was a producer on A Bronx Tale (the Broadway musical), which opened to a great New York Times review. Grant is also a partner on The Band's Visit (the Broadway musical), which won 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical.

Grant wrote, co-directed, and produced his first feature film Frat Star, which was released by Gravitas Ventures and Netflix in 2017.

Grant is an Executive Producer of Emil Nava’s upcoming feature Snorkeling produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Mark Gillespie and also Executive Produced by Young Thug.

Grant and Taylor & Dodge are in pre-production on Grant’s fourth film.

Grant is in development on a feature trilogy, a family action adventure called Come to Life. He is the writer and director, and a producer. Michael G. Nathanson, former head of MGM and producer of hits such as L.A. Confidential, is producing.
